Designing for tolerance between the body and an object. Arctic is carefully designed piece of jewellery that was created through the process of casting, scanning, digital modelling and digital printing through the 3D printing company ‘Shapeways’.

 

The aestically pleasing and repeated geometric planes of the ring were inspired by the melting polar ice caps in the arctic. The material I chose to print with was stainless steel with a bronze tint.
